ORION NEBULA:
Orion Nebula is a diffuse nebula located in the center of Orion belt in the constellation of Orion. It also designated as Messier 42, M42, NGC 1976 and Sharpless 281. It is one of brightest nebula in the night sky and are visible to our naked eye. Orion Nebula is located at a distance of 1,344 light years away from our Earth. It is estimated that, its total mass will be equal to 2000 times the mass of our Sun.
Orion Nebula can be captured through Amateur Telescopes in the night sky. It gives details about the formation and birth of stars in the Universe from collapsing gas clouds. This nebula has been founded by ancient Mayans of Central America.
In 1993, Hubble Space Telescope first observed the Orion Nebula. Since then, the nebula has been a frequent target for HST studies.
